This was originally an Italianate house, virtually identical to the Henderson Judd house next door.  In 1906 the builders Sias and Greenfell remodelled it into a prairie style house, adding bands of windows, stucco exterior and wide, sheltered front porch.  This shows the influence Wright and the other Prairie architects were having in Oak Park.
