	Charles and Anna Purcell were the parents of William Gray Purcell, an architect and associate of Frank Lloyd Wright.  In 1907 the Purcells moved into a house that their son designed for them, at 628 Bonnie Brae in River Forest.  The next owners, Louis and Narcissa Yager, hired Charles E. White to remodel the house in 1923.  Later owners replace the original half width entry porch with a full width wrap-around porch.  In doing so they replaced the original Queen Anne porch spindlework with pairs of square columns.
