An early Wright house in a historical style, the gambrel-roofed Dutch Colonial. The dining room bay is octagon shaped, and the library extension of the house is also an octagon; octagons were ubiquitous in Wright's early work. Also interesting is the eyebrow dormer above one second floor window.
Bagley was a marble importer; several details of the house are executed in marble.
