The living room continues into the semi-circular bay above; the rest of the living space of the house is in-line.  The house appears to step out at each end as the second floor bedrooms are cantilevered out from the first floor, and then topped by the wide eaves.  This is less noticeable on the south end, where the originally open porch has been enclosed.  Most of the art glass originally in the house has been removed.
