The Evans house is on a hilly site in the Beverly section of Chicago.  The house is set back far from the street on a large lot.  In plan, the house is based on Wright's "Fireproof House for $5,000".  The synthetic stone facing seen above is not original to Wright's plan, but was a later modification.
