Harry Robinson, an associate of Wright's at his Oak Park Studio, supervised the construction of this house, and is responsible for a 1926 addition that expanded the dining room and added a master bedroom wing. In 1961 the original veranda was removed and an enclosed, heated porch was added for William A. Greene, the son of the original owner.
Greene was a partner in the Barber-Greene company, which was the world's largest manufacturer of asphalt paving machines.
