
Frank Lloyd Wright began his architectural career in Oak Park, Illinois and he lived and worked there for 20 years. His early practice was concentrated in the Chicago area, and even after he developed a national reputation much of his practice remained centered in the midwest. Thus Illinois has far more Wright buildings than any other state, with over 100 Wright designs still standing.
This is not a complete listing of Wright's Illinois work, but more will be added as I photograph additional Illinois Wright buildings. And, I haven't even posted all the ones I have yet, more will come very soon...
