The Alsop house is sited on a large lot, near the top of low hill.  The plan of the house is basically in-line, except for the master bedroom, which is rotated 45 degrees.  The house is built of brick, with cypress trim and red asphalt shingles on the roof.  Caroll Alsop owned a women's ready-to-wear department store in the town.
