The house as originally designed was an L shaped plan, built of brick with blonde Phillipine mahogany trim.  The plans were not finalized until June, 1959, after Wright's death.  Jack Howe supervised the construction, which was not completed until 1963.

In 1960 an addition was designed by Jack Howe, adding a family room that converted the plan into more of a T design.
