This house displays elements of both the
Queen Anne and shingle styles. The front elevation has a Queen Anne
appearance, with the simple gable, clapboard walls and cornerboards. The
rest of the building is shingle style with shingle cladding on the exterior,
creating a feeling of fluidity. The Robinsons sold the house to J. Fred Butler in 1892. The Butlers built a large two-story coach house at the rear of their property in 1907, designed by E. E. Roberts. In 1956 the coach house was converted into a single family dwelling. |
