The house is sited at the edge of a high bluff overlooking the city of Kansas City.  The living room is cantilvered out over the bluff, providing a dramatic view.  Honduran mahogany is used inside, the outside is constructed of desert masonry, using stone from nearby flint hills in Kansas.
